On the first day of my new plan, I started to gain more confidence. I think the trick that really helped me was changing the way that I ate food. Since I was only taking the pills three times a day, which is the recommended allowance, but with smaller meals, the side effects decreased. This meant that I wasn’t taking a pill with each meal, but my meals were all low fat and nutritious anyway.
I have now been taking Alli for the past four months and have lost 25 pounds, which means I only have ten pounds to go until I’ve reached my goal. I must admit that those embarrassing treatment effects really helped me stay away from all of those tempting treats I used to give into, so Alli really works on two levels: it stops you from absorbing fat and it scares/embarrasses you into eating right.
